Barcelona confirmed the award on Friday, describing it as “another award for the talent of Lamine Yamal.”
The 18-year-old enjoyed a breakthrough season under coach Hansi Flick, scoring 16 league goals and providing 11 assists as Barcelona secured the Spanish top-flight title.
“The La Masia forward’s wizardry is evident. Every match he brought dribbling, goals and assists,” the club said in a statement.
LaLiga said the award reflects Yamal’s consistency and influence throughout the season, as he emerged as one of the league’s most decisive players.
His performances also helped Barcelona dominate the individual awards, with Hansi Flick named Coach of the Season and goalkeeper Joan Garcia winning Save of the Season.
Yamal also finished as joint winner of the Zarra Trophy alongside teammate Ferran Torres, after recording his highest-ever league goal tally.
The Spain international becomes the second consecutive Barcelona player to win the LaLiga Player of the Season award, following Raphinha’s success last year.
Widely regarded as one of football’s brightest young talents, Yamal played a central role in Barcelona’s domestic success with his goals, assists and attacking creativity throughout the campaign.
