According to Israeli military spokesperson, Lt. Col. Nadav Shoshani, the armed forces have detailed operational plans covering the next three weeks, alongside contingency measures that could extend beyond that period. The military campaign, he said, is aimed at weakening Iran’s capacity to threaten Israel, targeting ballistic missile installations, nuclear facilities, and the nation’s security apparatus.
“We want to ensure that this regime is as weak as possible, degrading all components and wings of their security establishment,” Shoshani said.
Over 110,000 reservists have been mobilised, and thousands of targets remain under Israeli surveillance. The ongoing airstrikes come amid a wave of Iranian drone attacks that temporarily shut down Dubai International Airport and struck a major oil facility in the United Arab Emirates.
The conflict, now entering its third week, has disrupted the Strait of Hormuz, a critical passage for roughly 20 percent of global oil and liquefied natural gas. Analysts warn that the tensions could trigger further instability in the region and contribute to rising energy prices globally.
Observers continue to call for urgent diplomatic engagement to de-escalate the crisis before it escalates into a wider regional conflict.
