Man Alleges Bandits Demanded N100m After Sending Him N100,000 During TikTok Live Session

A Nigerian man, Odumayo Olufemi, has alleged that individuals he identified as bandits sent him N100,000 during a TikTok live session before demanding N100 million from him.

Olufemi made the claim in a video circulating on social media, where he appealed for help and expressed fear over the development.

According to him, he joined a TikTok live session on June 6 after the hosts reportedly promised to give money to anyone who followed their page.

He said what initially appeared to be a harmless online interaction became troubling after he received the money and was later contacted with a demand for a much larger sum.

“I have come to confess I came across some bandits during a live session on June 6,” Olufemi said in the video.

“During the live session, they promised anyone who followed their page money and I followed the page. We thought it was a joke. He was a young man.

“As soon as I received the money, I got an email. Nigerians, please come to my rescue. They are demanding N100,000,000 from me.”

Olufemi claimed that he was not the only participant who received money during the live session, alleging that several others were also credited.

“Please come to my rescue. I also received money. I was among the people who joined the live session. They gave me N100,000 and are now demanding N100,000,000,” he added.

The incident was highlighted on the “What’s Trending” segment of Arise Television’s Morning Show on Tuesday.
