The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has urged the public to disregard two documents circulating on social media claiming to announce screening dates for candidates who passed the Computer-Based Test (CBT) in its ongoing recruitment exercise.

In a statement posted on its verified X account on Wednesday, the Service described the documents as fake and clarified that they did not originate from the NCS.

“The attention of the Nigeria Customs Service has been drawn to a fake content currently circulating on social media. The NCS wishes to state clearly that these claims are false and did not originate from the Service,” the statement said.

The forged documents, which the Service marked as “FAKE” in its official post, contained purported screening schedules, venue details and requirements, including dress codes and identification documents.

The NCS advised applicants and members of the public to rely only on information released through its official communication channels.

The Service reiterated that its recruitment process remains free of charge and warned candidates against making payments to individuals or groups claiming to influence any stage of the exercise.

The clarification comes amid continued public interest in the 2024/2025 recruitment exercise, which has progressed through application, CBT and profile update stages.

The NCS had earlier opened a portal for shortlisted candidates to complete final screening updates ahead of interviews and physical screening, with the process closing on May 10, 2026.

The Service also renewed its warning against fraudsters and fake announcements designed to exploit applicants seeking updates on the recruitment process.
