President Bola Tinubu on Sunday departed Abuja for France, kicking off a three-nation official visit aimed at strengthening Nigeria’s diplomatic and economic engagements.

The presidential aircraft took off from the Presidential Wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.

According to the Presidency, the trip will take the Nigerian leader to France, Kenya, and Rwanda as part of efforts to deepen international partnerships and attract investment.

Tinubu is expected to proceed to Nairobi after his stop in France, where he will attend the Africa–France Summit scheduled for May 11 to May 12. The summit, co-chaired by French President Emmanuel Macron and Kenyan President William Ruto, will focus on energy transition, climate action, digital transformation, and economic cooperation.

He will thereafter travel to Kigali, Rwanda, for the Africa CEO Forum holding from May 14 to May 15, which is expected to bring together top business leaders and policymakers to explore investment opportunities and drive economic growth across the continent.

The Presidency said the visit underscores Nigeria’s commitment to expanding economic ties and engaging global stakeholders on development priorities.
