The Nigeria Christian Civil Chaplain Corps has received official recognition from the Federal Ministry of Youth Development, marking a major milestone in its years of community and humanitarian service.

The recognition was conveyed in a letter dated February 16, 2026, confirming the organisation’s registration as a youth-serving body focused on peacebuilding, discipline, and national development.

The ministry, through an official, Augustine Udoh, stated that the corps is now listed on its National Youth Organisation register and is expected to implement programmes that promote youth wellbeing.

The Minister of Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande, emphasised the importance of such initiatives in advancing the ministry’s mandate.

Reacting to the development, the Corps Commanding Officer, Daniel Alimi, described the recognition as validation of the organisation’s contributions to peacebuilding, moral discipline, and humanitarian outreach across the country.

He expressed appreciation to the Federal Government under President Bola Tinubu, noting that the move reflects a commitment to inclusiveness and support for youth-driven initiatives.

Alimi reaffirmed the corps’ dedication to promoting unity, moral values, and national peace through structured chaplaincy services and community engagement programmes.
