Governor of Kwara State, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has expressed confidence that the All Progressives Congress will secure victory in the forthcoming Area Councils election in the Federal Capital Territory, pledging coordinated mobilisation and grassroots engagement to achieve the target.
AbdulRazaq made the declaration during the inauguration of the party’s National Campaign Council for the 2026 FCT Area Councils poll, where he spoke on behalf of APC governors and other party leaders assigned to the campaign structure.
He assured President Bola Tinubu and the party’s national leadership that members of the council would work in unity with stakeholders, community leaders and influencers across the six area councils to build widespread support for the party.
According to him, the campaign team would deploy strategic engagement and coordinated outreach to consolidate the party’s presence in the nation’s capital and translate support into votes.
He said the council members are committed to running a team-driven operation that reflects the party’s development message and governance record, adding that residents of the FCT would align with the APC based on its programmes and future prospects.
The governor stressed that collaboration, voter mobilisation and message discipline would be central to the campaign plan.
