French Ligue 1 side Olympique Marseille have completed the signing of Super Eagles midfielder Tochukwu Nnadi from Belgian club SV Zulte Waregem for an undisclosed fee.
Marseille confirmed the transfer on Monday, announcing that the 22-year-old Nigerian international will wear the club’s number six jersey.
In a statement, the club expressed excitement over the deal, describing Nnadi as a key addition to their squad ahead of the new campaign.
Nnadi becomes Marseille’s fourth signing of the just-concluded transfer window, joining other new arrivals as the club strengthens its team in a bid to secure a UEFA Champions League spot next season under manager Robert De Zerbi.
The midfielder came into the spotlight after earning a surprise call-up to Nigeria’s squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON). He made his senior debut for the Super Eagles as a second-half substitute in Nigeria’s 3–1 win over Uganda in their final group match of the tournament.
Before his senior national team breakthrough, Nnadi featured for Nigeria’s Flying Eagles at the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Argentina.
A product of Campos FC in Owerri, Imo State, Nnadi moved to Madenat Alamal Football Academy in the United Arab Emirates in 2019. Following a successful trial, he signed with Bulgarian side Botev Plovdiv in August 2021, where his performances paved the way for his move into European top-flight football.
