The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Osun State has released fresh schedules for the remaining components of Phase One of the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise.
The update, issued on Saturday by the Public Affairs Officer, Musa Olurode, on behalf of the Resident Electoral Commissioner, Dr. Mutiu Agboke, followed a circular from the Commission’s National Headquarters.
INEC said the renewed timelines were in line with the national framework guiding the CVR and were designed to ensure that all eligible citizens are given ample opportunity to register, update personal details, or verify their voter information ahead of subsequent electoral engagements.
According to the statement, Phase One of the ongoing CVR will run until December 10, 2025.
As part of post-registration activities, the Commission disclosed that the Preliminary Register of Voters will be printed between December 13 and 14, 2025, in preparation for its mandatory public display.
The register will be displayed for claims and objections from December 16 to 21, 2025, across the 30 local government offices of the Commission.
“During this period, registered voters and members of the public are expected to cross-check their details and raise any claims or objections. Public scrutiny remains vital to preserving the integrity of the voters’ register,” the statement noted.
INEC added that all complaints arising from the display exercise will be documented and addressed on December 21, while approved corrections and updates will be effected on December 22, 2025.
The Commission further announced that Phase Two of the CVR will commence on January 5, 2026, urging all eligible citizens yet to register or update their records to take advantage of the new window.
Reaffirming its commitment to deepening Nigeria’s electoral process, INEC advised the public to rely solely on official communication channels for CVR-related information and to guard against misinformation.
