President Bola Tinubu has arrived in Paris, France, for the second leg of his three-week annual leave in Europe.
The President was received on arrival by Nigeria’s Ambassador to France, Ayodele Oke, according to visuals made available to journalists.
Tinubu departed Abuja on Sunday, August 30, 2026, for the three-week holiday, with London as his first destination before proceeding to Paris.
According to a statement issued by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President is expected to return to Abuja after the vacation to join the campaign for the January 2027 general election.
The President’s departure came a week after the release of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council list, which named Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima as chairman and vice chairman respectively.
Paris has remained one of Tinubu’s most frequent foreign destinations since he assumed office in May 2023.
He has visited the French capital at least 13 times since then, spending more than 50 days across multiple official, working and private visits.
