Ogbeh Laid to Rest in Otukpa Amid Tears, Tributes

The remains of former Minister of Agriculture, Chief Audu Innocent Ogbeh, were yesterday laid to rest at his country home, Efugo in Otukpa, Ogbadibo Local Government Area of Benue State.

The casket bearing the elder statesman was lowered into the grave at about 1:20 pm in the presence of family members, friends, political associates, and admirers who gathered to pay their last respects in an atmosphere of solemnity and grief.

Before the interment, a Funeral Mass was held at St. Francis Catholic Church, Otukpa, where clerics extolled Ogbeh’s virtues and contributions to Nigeria’s political and agricultural development.

Chief Ogbeh, who passed away on August 8, 2025, at the age of 78, was described as a patriotic leader and a man of deep convictions whose legacies would endure beyond his years.
