Panic engulfed Koro community in Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara State on Sunday afternoon as suspected armed bandits launched a deadly attack, leaving one person confirmed dead.
Eyewitnesses told Patriotic Insights News that heavily armed men stormed the community in the afternoon, firing sporadically and forcing terrified residents to flee their homes. As of press time, parts of the town were reportedly still under the control of the attackers.
Patriotic Insights News reported that the bandits struck without warning, overwhelming the community before security operatives could respond.
