Yayi visits Tinubu, appreciates support for Ogun projects

Senator Solomon Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, has visited President Bola Tinubu in Lagos, where he expressed appreciation for the President’s support for major projects in Ogun State.

Adeola, who is seeking the All Progressives Congress, APC, governorship ticket in Ogun State ahead of the 2027 election, said he took time away from his ongoing mobilisation and consultations to meet with Tinubu following the President’s return from vacation.

According to the senator, the meeting provided an opportunity to discuss issues concerning Ogun State, as well as matters of national interest and the implementation of the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

Adeola specifically thanked Tinubu for his support for the proposed Gateway Deep Seaport and the Ogun State Blue Marine Special Economic Zone.

He said the projects, covered by a $7 billion memorandum of understanding, represented part of the Federal Government’s support for the development of Ogun State.

Adeola said, “I used the occasion to personally appreciate his support for Ogun State in the MOU of $7 billion for Gateway Deep Seaport and Ogun State Blue Marine Special Economic Zone as well as other matters of national interest relating to ongoing implementation of the Renewed Hope Agenda.”

The senator, who represents Ogun West Senatorial District, has been mobilising support for his governorship ambition while also campaigning for other APC candidates ahead of the 2027 elections.

He expressed optimism about the future of the country, attributing his confidence to what he described as reforms being implemented by the APC-led administration.

“The future is bright as the reformist agenda of APC has laid a solid foundation for growth and prosperity,” he said.
