Independence: Akpabio Urges Nigerians to Keep Hope Alive

Senate President Godswill Akpabio has urged Nigerians to keep hope alive in the country as he congratulated citizens on Nigeria’s 66th Independence Anniversary.

In a goodwill message issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Eseme Eyiboh, Akpabio called for love, unity and faith in the nation’s future.

The Senate President described Nigeria as “our destiny, our duty, our future,” noting that the country’s journey has been marked by both achievements and challenges.

He said despite moments of confidence and doubt, Nigerians have continued to work, create, serve and believe in the country.

According to him, “Nigeria lives in the farmer tending the soil, the teacher shaping a mind, the entrepreneur creating opportunity and the young person daring to dream.”

Akpabio said that as President Bola Tinubu leads the country, the National Assembly would continue to support efforts aimed at strengthening Nigeria and improving the lives of citizens.

He also urged Nigerians to renew their commitment to serving the country with integrity, compassion and dedication.

“On behalf of the Senate, the 10th National Assembly and my family, I extend warm felicitations to His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and Nigerians everywhere on our 66th Independence Anniversary.

“Today, we celebrate the gift of nationhood and the enduring promise of our beloved country.”

Akpabio prayed for God’s guidance for the country’s leaders and the preservation of Nigeria.

“Happy 66th Independence Anniversary! May God bless every Nigerian home, guide our leaders, and preserve the Federal Republic of Nigeria,” he added.
