Edo Court Sentences Four Kidnappers to Death by Hanging
The Edo State Special Criminal Court, presided over by Justice Terry Momodu Aigbona, has sentenced four kidnappers to death by hanging.
Justice Aigbona delivered the judgment on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, in Benin City.
The judge convicted the alleged gang leader of the kidnapping syndicate, Isaac Marvelous, on all 11 counts brought against him and sentenced him accordingly.
Justice Aigbona, who reportedly shed tears while delivering the judgment, ordered that the convicts be executed by hanging or through lethal injection.
The court’s decision follows the prosecution of the four men over their alleged involvement in kidnapping-related offences.
