Manchester City have reportedly been found guilty of 114 of the 115 charges brought against the club over alleged breaches of the Premier League’s financial regulations.

The charges relate to accusations that the club failed to provide accurate financial information over nine seasons, from 2009/10 to 2017/18.

An independent commission concluded its hearing in 2024, but the verdict has been subject to a lengthy wait.

If confirmed, Manchester City could face a range of sanctions, including a points deduction, financial penalties or even relegation.

There has also been speculation that any points deductions could be applied retrospectively to previous seasons, potentially affecting the club’s historical Premier League title records.

Manchester City are expected to appeal any punishment imposed by the Premier League.

However, the reported verdict and any subsequent sanctions would be subject to the relevant appeal process.
