Osun State Governor and Accord Party candidate, Ademola Adeleke, has secured his first polling unit result as results from the ongoing governorship election begin to trickle in.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) officials declared the Accord Party the winner at Polling Unit 026, Ward 5, Osogbo Local Government Area of the state.

The Accord Party polled 57 votes, while the All Progressives Congress (APC) scored 43 votes.

Results from other polling units across the state have also started emerging as the counting process continues.

Although there have been reports of intimidation, vote-buying and other electoral incidents in some areas, the election has proceeded peacefully in many parts of the state.
