Obi meets Swiss envoy, seeks stronger Nigeria-Switzerland partnership

The presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Peter Obi, has called for stronger partnerships between Nigeria and Switzerland to advance national development.

Obi disclosed this in a post on his X account on Wednesday after meeting with the Swiss Ambassador to Nigeria, Patrick Egloff, describing the engagement as productive.

According to the former Anambra State governor, their discussions focused on Nigeria’s development, particularly in the areas of education, healthcare and poverty alleviation.

Obi also expressed appreciation to the Swiss Confederation for its contributions to Nigeria’s development, especially its support for economic, humanitarian, cultural and peace-building initiatives in the North-East.

He said stronger partnerships built on shared values and a commitment to human development remain essential to achieving a more prosperous and inclusive Nigeria.
