The presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), Omoyele Sowore, has congratulated Spain on winning the 2026 FIFA World Cup, saying the victory reflects how President Bola Tinubu would be defeated in the 2027 general elections.

In a post on his verified X handle on Sunday, Sowore said he had predicted Spain’s victory over Argentina in the World Cup final.

“It happened as I predicted it. The World Cup final I foretold… came to pass. Spain defeats Argentina.

“The same way we will defeat Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Congrats, Spain,” he wrote.

Spain defeated defending champions Argentina 1-0 after extra time to win the 2026 FIFA World Cup, securing their second world title after their maiden triumph in 2010.
