Sam Larry Makes First Public Appearance After Surviving Auto Crash

Nigerian music promoter and socialite, Samson Eletu, popularly known as Sam Larry, has made his first public appearance following a recent auto crash that sparked widespread speculation on social media.

A video circulating online on Saturday showed Sam Larry celebrating with his associates, appearing alert and in stable condition.

The footage has attracted several reactions from social media users, with many expressing relief over his recovery.

The appearance came days after unverified reports claimed that the promoter had died in a road accident.

His associate, Akin Abolade, also known as Mr Lilgaga, had earlier dismissed the death rumours, confirming that Sam Larry survived the crash.

“Yes, he’s alive and not dead, but his condition cannot be ascertained because of how bad the accident was. We spoke after the accident. He’s alive, and I’m sure of that,” Lilgaga said.

Sam Larry has remained a controversial figure in Nigeria’s entertainment industry, particularly following the death of singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, in September 2023.

He faced public scrutiny after videos showing confrontations involving him and the late singer surfaced online, leading to calls for an investigation.

He was later questioned by the police as part of the inquiry, though investigators said the process would be based on available evidence. Sam Larry has consistently denied any involvement in Mohbad’s death.
