US Will Decimate Iran If I’m Assassinated, Says Trump

President Donald Trump has warned that the United States would “completely decimate” Iran if the country attempts to assassinate or succeeds in killing him.

Trump issued the warning on Friday in a post on his social media platform, Truth Social, amid rising tensions between Washington and Tehran.

“1,000 missiles are locked and loaded and aimed at the Islamic Republic of Iran, with thousands of more to immediately follow, should the Iranian Government act on its threat, pronounced in many corners of the globe, to assassinate, or attempt to assassinate, the sitting President of the United States of America, in this case, ME!” Trump wrote.

He added that orders had already been issued and that the US military was prepared to destroy Iranian targets if such an attack occurred.

“Orders have already been given, and the U.S. military is ready, willing, and able, for a one-year period of time, subject to extension, to completely decimate and destroy all areas of Iran,” he said.

The threat comes amid renewed tensions between the two countries following a series of attacks that have raised concerns over the collapse of a fragile ceasefire agreement.

Iran, however, insisted on Saturday that it had honoured the ceasefire agreement, accusing the United States of violating the terms of a memorandum of understanding aimed at easing hostilities.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said Tehran had “kept its word” and accused Washington of failing to comply with its commitments.

“The Islamic Republic of Iran has so far kept its word, unlike the so-called US Treasury Secretary who is violating Para 9 of the MoU,” Araghchi said.

He added that there could only be peace if both sides adhered to their commitments.

Trump had earlier said Iran requested the continuation of talks, adding that the United States agreed but considered the ceasefire terminated.

“The Islamic Republic of Iran has asked us to continue ‘talks.’ We have agreed to do so, but the United States has stated to them, in no uncertain terms, that the Cease Fire is OVER!” Trump wrote.

The dispute comes after Washington and Tehran exchanged strikes this week, threatening a return to wider conflict in the region.

Reports also indicated that the United States had given Iran a deadline to stop attacks on commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz and acknowledge that the strategic waterway remains open.

The Strait of Hormuz, one of the world’s most important oil shipping routes, has become a major flashpoint between both countries.

Meanwhile, diplomatic efforts are ongoing, with Qatar and Pakistan attempting to mediate between Washington and Tehran.

Iran’s chief negotiator, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, maintained that the country would not surrender, insisting that Iran was prepared to defend itself.

“Ending the war is a priority for the countries of the world, but everyone must know that this confrontation will never end with Iran’s surrender,” he said.
