US Publishes Names, Photos of 124 Nigerians Marked for Deportation Over Crimes
The United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has released the names and photographs of 124 Nigerians listed for deportation as part of its ongoing immigration enforcement campaign targeting convicted criminals. According to the DHS, those on the list are classified among its “worst-of-the-worst” criminal offenders, although details of their individual offences and deportation timelines were not disclosed.
The move is part of the immigration crackdown under President Donald Trump, who directed federal agencies to intensify the arrest and deportation of undocumented migrants, especially those considered threats to public safety. The DHS said the action fulfils the administration’s commitment to prioritise the removal of convicted criminal non-citizens.
The latest development comes amid broader immigration measures affecting Nigeria, including partial U.S. visa restrictions introduced in June over concerns about identity management, information sharing, visa overstays, and security screening.
