Oshiomhole Clarifies Remarks on Alleged Signature Forgery in Natasha’s Suspension

Senator Adams Oshiomhole (Edo North) has denied alleging that lawmakers’ signatures were forged in the report that led to the suspension of Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, Oshiomhole said his comments during a television interview were misrepresented.

He clarified that he did not accuse senators of forgery, but only referenced a claim by a committee member who alleged that attendance signatures of some lawmakers were attached to the final report.

Oshiomhole described the interpretation that he accused senators of forgery as incorrect, insisting his comments were taken out of context.

The Senate had previously dismissed allegations surrounding the report and said it would review the matter before taking a position.
