His death was announced on Tuesday by the President of the Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN), Bolaji Amusan, popularly known as Mr Latin.
In a post shared on Instagram, Amusan expressed grief over the actor’s passing and prayed for strength for his family, friends and colleagues.
“May the soul of our departed colleague, Adesina Okiki Janmole, who tragically lost his life in an accident, rest in perfect peace.
“May God grant his family, friends, and colleagues the strength and comfort to bear this irreparable loss. He will be greatly missed. Amen,” he wrote.
The announcement sparked an outpouring of tributes from fans and colleagues in the Nigerian film industry, who took to social media to mourn the late actor.
Adeshina was a prominent figure in the Yoruba movie industry and was known for his roles in films including Agunbaniro, Iyawo Asante and Ogbon Inu.
