Tinubu’s primary victory shows nationwide acceptance — Ondo APC candidate

The All Progressives Congress candidate for Owo/Ose Federal Constituency, Kayode Ijalana, has congratulated President Bola Tinubu on emerging as the party’s presidential candidate for the 2027 general election.

Tinubu secured the APC presidential ticket after defeating fellow aspirant Stanley Osifo in the party’s nationwide primary election.

In Ondo State, Tinubu polled 181,966 votes, while Osifo scored no vote.

In a statement issued on Monday, Ijalana described the President’s victory as a reflection of the confidence party members have in his leadership and vision for Nigeria.

He said the outcome of the primary election showed broad support for Tinubu’s administration and ongoing reforms.

“This victory is not just for Mr. President, but for all progressives who believe in continuity, stability, and national development,” Ijalana said.

“It validates his decades of investment in democracy, bridge-building, and transformative governance.”

The APC chieftain also commended the party’s National Working Committee and delegates for conducting what he described as a peaceful and credible primary election.

According to him, the exercise strengthened internal democracy within the ruling party.

Ijalana pledged support from Owo/Ose Federal Constituency towards Tinubu’s campaign ahead of the 2027 general election.

“We are fully mobilised in Owo and Ose to deliver massive support for Mr. President. His Renewed Hope Agenda resonates with our people, and we are confident that under his leadership, Nigeria will achieve new milestones in security, infrastructure, and economic growth,” he said.

He further congratulated the President on behalf of APC members in the constituency.

“On behalf of the good people of Owo/Ose Federal Constituency and the entire APC family in our constituency, I heartily congratulate our leader and President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on his emergence as the presidential candidate of our great party,” he added.
