Isaac Fayose, brother of former Ekiti State Governor Ayo Fayose, has announced the passing of his wife.

He disclosed this in a post on his Instagram page on Saturday, where he shared an image of a candlelight with the caption, “Rest In Peace, My darling wife.”

In another post accompanied by photos of his late wife, Fayose wrote, “Odaro oyinbo mi,” as he bade her farewell.

Earlier in March, Fayose had revealed that his wife was battling cancer during a visit to his family in Australia, describing her declining health and expressing emotional distress over her condition.

“My wife is not feeling well. When I got here, she was very weak… She couldn’t cook or talk. I sat beside her and sang her favourite song; she held my hand as I sang,” he had said at the time.

Following the announcement of her death, tributes have begun to pour in from friends, followers and public figures including actress Yvonne Jegede, comedian Ali Baba, and veteran musician Daddy Showkey.
