2027: Hayatu-Deen picks ADC presidential form, vows to tackle insecurity, hardship

Economist and presidential aspirant, Mohammed Hayatu-Deen, has obtained the African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential expression of interest and nomination forms ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Hayatu-Deen, said to be the first aspirant to pick the party’s presidential form, received the N100 million forms from the ADC National Organising Secretary, Prince Chinedu Idigo.

Speaking after obtaining the forms, Hayatu-Deen said his campaign would focus on tackling insecurity, reviving the economy, creating jobs and reducing the rising cost of living facing Nigerians.

According to him, Nigerians are increasingly worried about insecurity, unemployment and economic hardship.

“Nigerians are tired of living in fear. They are tired of watching businesses struggle, jobs disappear, and the cost of basic necessities rise beyond what ordinary people can afford,” he said.

He stressed that security remains the foundation for economic growth, adding that no meaningful prosperity can thrive in an atmosphere of instability.

“We cannot build prosperity in an atmosphere of fear and instability. Security is the foundation upon which every strong economy is built,” he added.

The ADC aspirant also promised policies aimed at lowering business costs, supporting small businesses, creating opportunities for youths and promoting inclusive economic growth.

Hayatu-Deen said his experience in business and economic management positioned him to help rebuild confidence in Nigeria’s economy.

“I understand what it takes to build institutions, unlock investment, and create opportunities at scale. Nigeria has the talent and potential to succeed, but we need disciplined leadership and serious execution,” he stated.

The ADC fixed May 6 to May 13 for the sale of presidential expression of interest and nomination forms ahead of the 2027 elections.
