Grief in Osun APC as Oke Mourns Party Chairman’s Wife
The Director-General of the Osun State All Progressives Congress (APC) Campaign Council, Hon. Oluwole Oke, has expressed deep sorrow over the death of the wife of the state party chairman, Sooko Tajudeen Lawal, describing the loss as painful and devastating to the entire APC family.
Speaking on behalf of the Campaign Council, the signatory to the statement, Omolebi-Sunday Segun Tunde, said, “It is indeed a moment of profound grief, not only for the immediate family but for the entire APC family, as we collectively mourn the departure of a woman of virtue, grace, and quiet strength.”
Late Alhaja Oreoluwa Lawal was described as a devoted wife and mother whose life embodied compassion, humility, and unwavering faith, while serving as a pillar of support and encouragement to many within and beyond the political space.
Oke, in the statement, noted that her passing serves as a sobering reminder of the inevitability of death, quoting the Holy Qur’an that every soul shall taste death, while urging the bereaved family to take solace in Allah’s will.
He further encouraged the chairman and his family to remain steadfast, expressing confidence in Allah’s mercy and praying for the repose of the deceased’s soul.
The APC chieftain also prayed that Almighty Allah forgives her shortcomings, grants her Aljanah Firdaus, and gives the family the strength to bear the irreplaceable loss.
The party reaffirmed its solidarity with the state chairman, noting that although her physical presence is gone, her legacy of kindness and devotion would continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched.
