The result, shared by a social media user on X, alleged that one Okon Winniefred Sampson recorded an almost perfect score—96 in Use of English, 99 in Biology, 98 in Chemistry and 99 in Physics.
Reacting on Sunday, JAMB’s spokesperson, Dr Fabian Benjamin, described the claim as false and urged the public to disregard it.
“A purported result slip currently being circulated, claiming that a candidate scored 394 in the 2026 UTME, is entirely fake. It is surprising that such a fabrication is being shared by otherwise well-informed Nigerians,” he said.
Benjamin explained that UTME results are strictly view-only and not issued in formats designed for public sharing, noting that the viral document was based on a fabricated template.
“The circulated document appears on a fabricated result template, which on its own is sufficient indication that it is not authentic,” he added.
He further pointed out discrepancies in the registration number on the slip, stating that it does not align with JAMB’s system-generated format.
“The Board’s registration numbers do not follow the pattern seen on the fake slip. There are several inconsistencies that expose the result as fraudulent,” he said.
JAMB advised candidates and the general public to rely only on official communication channels for accurate information, stressing that all UTME results currently remain view-only.
