Championship: Onyeka Earns Coventry City Goal of the Season Nomination

Nigeria international Frank Onyeka has been nominated for Coventry City’s Goal of the Season award following his impressive strike in the English Championship.

Onyeka’s goal came during Coventry’s 3-2 victory over Derby County at the CBS Arena in March and is one of nine goals shortlisted for the club’s top individual scoring honour.

The strike marked the defensive midfielder’s first goal since joining Frank Lampard’s side on loan from Brentford in January.

The 28-year-old last scored for Brentford in March 2024 against Sheffield United before his temporary move to Coventry.
