Sanwo-Olu celebrates GAC member Busura Alebiosu at 90
The Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has congratulated elder statesman and Governance Advisory Council member, Otunba Busura Alebiosu, on his 90th birthday.
Alebiosu, who also serves as Chairman of the Council of Otunbas of Ijebuland and holds the traditional title of Otunba Gbelegbuwa of Ijebuland, is expected to turn 90 on Friday, April 24.
In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Gboyega Akosile, the governor described Alebiosu as a “stabiliser and leader of leaders,” noting his long-standing contributions to politics and governance in Lagos State.
Sanwo-Olu praised the nonagenarian’s decades of public service and political involvement, recalling his roles from the early Fourth Republic to the present democratic era, including his time in the Lagos State House of Assembly.
He described Alebiosu as a calm, respected and experienced leader whose influence has helped shape Lagos politics across different administrations.
The governor also prayed for his continued good health, sound mind and longevity, saying Alebiosu remains an important figure in the state’s political leadership structure.
