Amid Hardship, Oluwole Oke urges Nigerians not to lose hope at Easter
As Christians across the country mark Easter, member representing Obokun/Oriade Federal Constituency and Chairman, House Committee on Foreign Affairs, Oluwole Oke, has urged Nigerians not to surrender to despair despite prevailing economic challenges, saying the season symbolises hope, sacrifice and renewal.
Oke, in an Easter message issued on Sunday, called on citizens to reflect on the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ by embracing unity, peace and collective commitment to national development.
The federal lawmaker, who felicitated Christians across Nigeria, particularly the people of Obokun and Oriade local government areas of Osun State, said Easter remains a reminder that difficult moments are temporary and can give way to victory.
According to him, “Easter reminds us that even in moments of trial and uncertainty, hope is never lost. It inspires us to rise above challenges, embrace unity, extend love to one another, and work collectively towards a more prosperous and harmonious society.”
He also urged Nigerians to support the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, noting that current economic and social challenges confronting the nation are part of a transition that would ultimately lead to growth and stability.
Oke expressed confidence that with patience, resilience and cooperation, the country would overcome present difficulties and emerge stronger.
He further encouraged constituents to use the Easter season to extend love to the less privileged and strengthen communal bonds.
His Senior Media Aide, Omolebi-Sunday Segun Tunde, who signed the statement, quoted the lawmaker as reaffirming his commitment to effective representation, grassroots development and policies aimed at improving the socio-economic wellbeing of the people.
Omolebi-Sunday said the lawmaker also prayed for peace, unity and prosperity in Osun State and across Nigeria during the Easter celebration.
