‘I stand with you’ — Tinubu assures Plateau residents amid killings
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has expressed solidarity with the people of Plateau State following recent attacks, assuring residents of the Federal Government’s commitment to addressing insecurity.
In a personally signed statement, the President extended his condolences to families affected by the violence and reaffirmed his resolve to restore peace.
Tinubu said his planned visit to Jos was aimed at showing support to grieving families and demonstrating the government’s determination to confront the security challenges.
“I will be in Jos to support the families who have lost their loved ones and to show that those who try to create fear will not succeed,” he said.
“We will continue to enhance our security response and ensure that justice is served,” the President added.
He also outlined his upcoming engagements, noting that he would proceed to Lagos for Good Friday activities before continuing official visits to Ogun State, Lagos, and Bayelsa State.
According to him, the visits will focus on infrastructure development, trade, and economic growth.
Tinubu emphasised the importance of unity during difficult times, urging Nigerians to remain resilient.
“In times of sorrow, we must stand together. In moments of progress, we must keep building. The work continues. Nigeria First,” he stated.
