According to the final international timetable published on the council’s official X handle on Monday, the examination will commence on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, and conclude on Friday, June 19, 2026.
WAEC stated that the examination will begin with Foods and Nutrition 3 (Practical) Planning Session and Home Management 3 (Practical) Planning Session.
The WASSCE remains a critical qualification for secondary school students seeking admission into universities and other tertiary institutions.
The examination covers core subjects such as English Language and Mathematics, alongside a broad range of elective subjects spanning sciences, arts, humanities, and vocational and technical disciplines.
It is conducted across WAEC member countries, including Nigeria, Ghana, Liberia, Sierra Leone, and The Gambia.
