Senate President Godswill Akpabio announced the confirmation after lawmakers approved the nomination through a voice vote during the Committee of the Whole session.
Oyedele is expected to replace Doris Uzoka-Anite in the position following the approval of his nomination by the upper legislative chamber.
President Tinubu had earlier forwarded Oyedele’s name to the Senate for confirmation shortly after announcing adjustments within the Federal Executive Council.
The confirmation followed the Senate’s consideration of the nominee in line with its constitutional responsibility to screen and approve ministerial appointments.
