The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Benue State has commended members for what it described as the peaceful and successful conduct of its local government congresses held across the state on Saturday.
In a statement issued on Sunday by the party’s Publicity Secretary, Daniel Ihomun, the chapter expressed satisfaction with the orderly and transparent manner in which the non-elective congresses were conducted in all the 23 local government areas of the state.
Ihomun said the exercise, which witnessed what he termed an impressive turnout of party faithful, reflected the discipline, unity and organisational strength of the party in Benue.
According to him, the affirmation of existing local government executives for another four-year tenure was a clear demonstration of the confidence members repose in their leadership.
“We congratulate all local government party executives who were duly affirmed by their respective congresses to continue in office for another four-year tenure.
“This reaffirmation is a strong endorsement of your stewardship and the trust reposed in you by party members. As you assume this renewed mandate, you are encouraged to remain inclusive, transparent and committed to strengthening the party’s structures at the grassroots in line with the constitution and guiding principles of our great party,” the statement read.
The party noted that with the successful completion of the ward and local government congresses, the Benue chapter remains united and focused on consolidating its grassroots structures.
It also declared its readiness to intensify mobilisation efforts towards securing victory for President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 general elections.
Ihomun reiterated the party’s commitment to internal democracy, unity and the advancement of its objectives in Benue State and beyond.
