Lawyer and activist, Deji Adeyanju, has projected that President Bola Tinubu is poised to win the 2027 presidential election, citing the absence of strong opposition.
In a post on X on Sunday, Adeyanju, who is not a member or supporter of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), highlighted several indicators suggesting Tinubu could emerge victorious in the next general poll.
Adeyanju’s prediction followed shortly after the conclusion and announcement of results from the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Council elections.
He criticized some political actors for focusing on what he described as “social media noise” instead of engaging in substantive opposition activities.
Adeyanju wrote, “Tinubu has won 2027. If you like say I am working for APC, the truth will become obvious next year. Unserious people just interested in social media noise and not real opposition work.”
The activist’s forecast has already stirred debates across political and social media platforms, raising concerns over the preparedness of opposition parties ahead of the 2027 elections.
