Ex-Osun SSG, Moshood Adeoti, to Join Accord Party; Thousands Expected at Declaration

Former Secretary to the Osun State Government (SSG), Moshood Adeoti, is set to formally declare his membership in the Accord Party on Tuesday at the Adolak Event Centre, along the Gbongan–Ibadan road,Osogbo with thousands of supporters expected to attend. The move comes as political activities intensify ahead of the 2026/2027 elections.

Adeoti’s entry into Accord is occurring amid ongoing political realignments in the state, with key actors repositioning ahead of the next general elections. The declaration ceremony is anticipated to attract party leaders, supporters, and political stakeholders from across Osun State.

A source close to the former SSG told Patriotic Insights News that the event will mark his official unveiling on the Accord platform, where he is expected to outline his political agenda and vision for the state.

A party chieftain, who requested anonymity, described Adeoti’s move as a major boost for Accord. “He is a seasoned administrator with deep grassroots support. His joining the party will energize the base and strengthen our mobilisation ahead of the 2026/2027 elections,” the source said.

Political observers believe Adeoti’s declaration could reshape alliances in the state as consultations and coalition moves continue among major political actors.

The ceremony, slated for 10 a.m., is expected to draw party faithful, community leaders, and members of the media.
