The Presidency on Friday declared that the political opposition is struggling to gain traction ahead of future contests, insisting that President Bola Tinubu’s performance in office has left critics with little ground to stand on.
Special Adviser to the President on Media and Public Communications, Sunday Dare, said the administration’s achievements since assumption of office are already reshaping the political landscape and putting pressure on opposition figures.
Dare made the assertion while reacting to the current political climate in a post accompanied by an Artificial Intelligence-generated video featuring former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and Labour Party’s former presidential candidate, Peter Obi.
According to him, the tangible results recorded by the Tinubu administration have made it increasingly difficult for opposition actors to build convincing counter-narratives or mobilize public support.
“It is hard to fight results. The opposition is sweating it out as President Tinubu’s scorecard continues to speak,” Dare stated.
He further described the renewed presidential ambitions of key opposition figures as “dead on arrival,” maintaining that the ruling party’s governance record will remain its strongest campaign asset going forward.
The remarks come amid intensifying political positioning and early permutations ahead of the next general election cycle.
