GMDFI Celebrates Michael Owoyemi at 40

The Gospel Music Development Foundation International (GMDFI) has felicitated with its founder, Michael Owoyemi, as he celebrates his 40th birthday. The Board of Trustees, State Chapter Executives, and members of the foundation described Owoyemi as a visionary leader whose dedication has transformed the gospel music ministry and positively impacted communities across Nigeria.

Since its inception, GMDFI has become a premier platform for gospel music ministers, worship leaders, and artists, offering mentorship, networking opportunities, and professional development. Under Michael Owoyemi’s leadership, the foundation has consistently encouraged excellence, unity, and spiritual growth within the gospel music community.

Speaking on his leadership, members of GMDFI noted that Owoyemi’s vision has helped countless gospel music ministers to discover and nurture their talents and calling, expand their reach, and positively influence society through music. “His guidance has created a strong ecosystem for gospel music in Nigeria and beyond, bringing Gospel music ministers together while fostering collaboration and innovation,” the statement added.

Beyond music, GMDFI has actively engaged in charitable initiatives under Owoyemi’s guidance. The foundation has reached out to the less privileged, offering support to vulnerable communities, providing scholarships, organizing donation drives, and sponsoring programs that uplift the lives of underprivileged Nigerians. These efforts have reinforced the foundation’s dual mission: promoting gospel music while serving humanity.

The statement, signed by the National Publicity Secretary, Oluwatosin Babatunde, and made available to journalists on Sunday, commended Michael Owoyemi for his vision, sacrifices, and steadfast devotion to advancing God’s work through music and humanitarian service. It also prayed for continued wisdom, grace, and far-reaching impact in the years ahead.

Reflecting on his 40th birthday milestone, many within GMDFI and the wider gospel music community hailed Owoyemi as a trailblazer whose leadership has positioned the foundation as a leading institution in gospel music development. His influence has not only nurtured the talents of numerous gospel artists but also inspired a new generation of ministers to embrace excellence, service, and compassion in their ministries.

As GMDFI celebrates this landmark birthday, stakeholders reaffirmed their commitment to continue supporting Owoyemi’s vision of empowering gospel ministers and serving communities, ensuring that his legacy of leadership, music, and charity continues to thrive in the years ahead.
