Security Alert: Kwara LG Imposes 24-Hour Curfew on Oro-Ago Community.

A 24-hour curfew has been imposed on Oro-Ago community in Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State as part of intensified security measures to combat criminal activities in the area.
The Chairman of Ifelodun Local Government, Abdul Rasheed Femi Yusuf, announced the development on Tuesday, stating that the curfew will take effect from 6:00 a.m. on Wednesday.
According to him, the decision was taken in support of an ongoing security clearance operation being carried out by the military, aimed at flushing out suspected terrorists and restoring peace to the community.
“During the period of the curfew, there will be no movement of persons or vehicles across the entire district,” Yusuf said.
He explained that the measure is a coordinated effort by security agencies and the local government to protect lives and property, while putting criminal elements in disarray.
The council chairman added that further assessments would be conducted, noting that residents would be duly informed of any review or adjustment to the curfew as the operation progresses.
