Nigeria’s Progress Stalled by Career Politicians, Warns Kachikwu

The 2023 presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Dumebi Kachikwu, has expressed deep concerns over Nigeria’s slow pace of progress, insisting that meaningful change remains distant.

In an interview on Arise Television monitored by Patriotic Insights News on Sunday, Kachikwu blamed the country’s predicament on entrenched politicians who have mastered the art of political maneuvering without delivering tangible results.

“What is most disheartening about the project called Nigeria is that many citizens cannot see through the schemes of these politicians,” Kachikwu said.

He noted that a cadre of “professional politicians” continuously move from party to party, criticizing the government in power while lacking the moral authority or capacity to offer credible alternatives.

“These politicians constantly claim that the government of the day has failed, yet they themselves have neither the locus nor the moral standing to make such judgments,” he added.

Kachikwu emphasized that genuine transformation in Nigeria can only come when a new generation of leaders, committed to accountability and public service, takes charge of the nation’s affairs.
