The British High Commissioner to Nigeria, Dr Richard Montgomery, alongside some state governors, has paid a visit to former world heavyweight boxing champion, Anthony Joshua, at a Lagos hospital following his recent medical episode.

Joshua, a two-time heavyweight champion, is currently receiving medical attention in Lagos, though details of his condition were not officially disclosed as of the time of the visit.

In a post shared on social media on Tuesday, the British High Commission confirmed the visit, noting that the envoy and the governors were at the hospital to wish the boxer a quick recovery.

Photographs from the visit showed Joshua seated and in good spirits as he received his visitors, sparking reassurance among fans and supporters.

Anthony Joshua, who holds dual Nigerian and British heritage, remains one of the most celebrated figures in global boxing and has continued to enjoy strong support from both Nigeria and the United Kingdom.
