Former Secretary to the Osun State Government, Moshood Olalekan Adeoti, has denied claims circulating on social media that he has rejoined the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.
In a statement issued and signed by his media office, Adeoti described the report as baseless, saying it was “entirely a product of the imagination of the writer or their sponsors.”
According to his aides, Adeoti was equally surprised by the publication, noting that he has no intention of returning to the APC at this time.
“Just like every one of my supporters, I was surprised to see the report of my rejoining the APC, as there was no time I informed anyone of such a decision,” the statement said.
Since the news went viral, Adeoti disclosed that he has received numerous calls from supporters both within the country and in the diaspora. He therefore urged journalists to verify their information before publication.
He further called on his supporters to remain calm and disregard the claims, reassuring them that nothing has changed since his last meeting with them.
