APC: Police Escort Withdrawal Not a Political Move

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has dismissed claims that the Federal Government’s directive to withdraw police escorts from VIPs is politically motivated. The party insisted that the policy is impartial and applies to all, regardless of political affiliation.
The statement comes after journalist and former PDP presidential aspirant, Dele Momodu, accused President Bola Tinubu’s administration of using the directive to target opposition figures ahead of elections. Momodu highlighted a leaked list circulating online, reportedly including names like former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, former First Lady Aisha Buhari, and FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, alleging it was meant to intimidate political rivals.
