Police Rescue Abducted Man, Nab Two in Kwara Forest

The Kwara State Police Command has rescued a kidnapped victim, Haruna Ahamadu, from a forest in Omu-Aran, Irepodun Local Government Area of the state.

The command’s spokesperson, DSP Adetoun Ejire-Adeyemi, said in a statement on Thursday that the rescue operation followed credible intelligence and was carried out by a combined team of police operatives and local vigilantes.

Two suspects — Ayisa Ibrahim and Yakubu Hassan — were arrested at the scene in connection with the abduction.

Ejire-Adeyemi added that the victim was rescued unhurt and reunited with his family, while efforts are ongoing to apprehend other fleeing members of the gang.

She assured residents that the command remains committed to ridding the state of criminal elements and ensuring the safety of lives and property.
