BREAKING: FCT Police Commissioner orders arrest of Sowore after court appearance — Patriotic Insights News

The Commissioner of Police in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has ordered the arrest of human rights activist and former presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, moments after he exited a courtroom in Abuja on Thursday.

Patriotic Insights News gathered that Sowore was intercepted by a police officer outside the court premises and informed of a directive allegedly issued by the FCT Police Commissioner mandating his arrest.

He was subsequently taken to the FCT Police Command headquarters in the company of his lawyer, Tope Temokun, while two police vans were said to be trailing the vehicle conveying them.

A source familiar with the development said the arrest may be connected to Sowore’s ongoing legal battles, which his associates have repeatedly described as politically motivated.

Further details were still emerging as of the time of filing this report.
