The Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs on Tuesday confirmed three non-career ambassadorial nominees forwarded by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Those cleared are Lateef Kayode Kolawole Are (Ogun State), Aminu Muhammad Dalhatu (Jigawa State) and Emmanuel Ayodele Oke (Oyo State).
Their confirmation followed a screening session conducted by the committee at the National Assembly.
The development comes a week after the Senate screened and confirmed 68 ambassadorial nominees. Among those earlier approved were former Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu; former Minister of Aviation, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode; former presidential aide, Reno Omokri; and former Minister of Interior, Abdulrahman Dambazau.
