President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has expressed deep condolences to Senate Minority Leader, Senator Abba Moro, following the tragic deaths of his son, Victor Moro, and grandson, Abba Moro Jr.
In a statement issued on Tuesday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, the President described the losses as “heartbreaking” and urged the Moro family to find comfort in the meaningful, albeit short, lives of the departed.
The statement read in part: “The President urges the family to find solace in the impactful lives of the children, whose time on earth, though brief, touched many lives. May God Almighty receive their souls and grant the family divine strength and consolation.”
Senator Moro, a former Minister of Interior, has represented Benue South since 2019 and currently leads the opposition caucus in the 10th Senate. Reports indicate that Victor Moro died in a car accident on the Mararaba axis of Nasarawa State, shortly after returning from studies abroad. This tragic event occurred a day after the family buried the senator’s grandson, Abba Moro Jr., whose cause of death has not been publicly disclosed.
President Tinubu’s condolence extended to the Moro family, friends, and constituents of Benue South, highlighting the nation’s collective mourning for the loss of the young lives.
