ADC Counters APC Mockery, Reaffirms Unity in Osun

The Osun State Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Dr. Charles Idowu Omidiji, has fired back at the All Progressives Congress (APC) over its reaction to comments by the Omoluabi Progressive Group on delayed local government allocations in the state.

In a statement personally signed by Dr. Omidiji, signed on Saturday and obtained by Patriotic Insights News, the ADC chairman described the APC’s response as an act of political frustration and a diversion from the party’s own internal crises and leadership inconsistencies.

Dr. Omidiji emphasized that the Omoluabi Progressive Group is a recognized and influential stakeholder within the ADC, working closely with the party’s leadership to advance its vision and ideology in Osun State.

“The Omoluabi Progressive Group has always demonstrated commitment, discipline, and loyalty to the ADC. Their position on the local government allocation issue reflects their passion for transparency, accountability and good governance, which are values the ADC stands for. The APC’s attempt to ridicule such a patriotic intervention only exposes their growing disconnect from the people,” he said.

The ADC chairman urged the APC to focus on resolving its internal challenges rather than interfering in other political parties’ affairs. He pointed to ongoing crises in the APC, including irregularities in delegate lists and internal divisions across various local government areas.

“It is laughable that a party currently struggling with internal wrangling and accusations of unjustly removing its loyal members from delegate lists would have the audacity to comment on the affairs of a stable and united party like the ADC. The APC should face its business and stop interfering in other people’s matters,” he added.

Dr. Omidiji also dismissed allegations of factionalism in the ADC as false and politically motivated, reaffirming the party’s unity in Osun State.

“The ADC in Osun State is solidly united. There is no faction or disunity among our apex leaders or coalition partners. We are all working together under one formidable structure to reposition the party for greater political impact and to serve the people of Osun better,” he stated.

He further commended all coalition groups and stakeholders under the ADC umbrella for their continued cooperation and dedication to promoting the party’s ideology of integrity, inclusiveness, and people-centered governance.

“Under the ADC, every coalition group including the Omoluabi Progressive Group enjoys mutual respect, recognition, and collaboration. Together, we are building a strong foundation that will redefine Osun’s political landscape,” Dr. Omidiji said.

He concluded by urging all ADC members and supporters to remain focused, united, and steadfast, assuring them that the party remains the most credible alternative for good governance and genuine leadership in Osun State.
